EIR stands for Equipment Identity Register. It is a free service that enables you to block any stolen or lost mobile device that you own, using its IMEI, from being used by other users on Mobily network only.

IMEI is the International Mobile Equipment Identity, which is a unique 15-digit code/number identifying every mobile phone device. It is usually found printed on the phone underneath the battery. It can be found by typing *#06# on a handset.

What is required to block any device through the EIR?

You should visit one of Mobily stores with the following with you:

  • Your device IMEI number.
  • Proof of ownership; purchase invoice and warranty card form an official dealer.
  • Your mobile number should be recorded as a user for this device at least once during the previous month of the request.
  • You should sign the declaration form provided for the service and attach a copy of your ID/Iqama.
